I imagine they're all pretty amazing shows, but would you suggest a couple that would be especially worth downloading? cheers

My favorite is the 06/20/09 - Annandale Hotel show. It's got songs from all their studio releases, and the band seems to be enjoying themselves. It's also the longest set they've done I think. I think they wanted to go all out since it was the last day of the Australian tour.

The 10/31/08 show at Variety Playhouse is a good one too. This was the show they did for the Microcastle release party, and it's the only known time where they've performed Neither Of Us, Uncertainly live. Also the show itself was recorded well, so it sounds great.

SF on the microcastle tour they opened with Side A off Cryptograms, I would steal and sell a baby to have a rip of that it was maybe the best thing ive ever seen. the version they did of little kids was absolutely absurd as well.

my fave show from the list above starts off KILLING IN THE NAME OF....YOU DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU...KILLING IN THE NAME OF.....pusssyyyyy....not really

That's the 2007 Whirlyball show. Random trivia: The Whirlyball 7'' record that features Deerhunter's song Kousin Klash was used as the ticket to get into the gig.

But yeah, before Lake Somerset they did a sort of on the spot half ass cover of Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name". What's interesting is you can completely tell how Deerhunter have changed from 2007. Lake Somerset from that show is so fucking THRASH, while the later performances are a bit tamer. Not a bad thing, just interesting.

Anyway

The NOISEVOX show is up.

You know...I bootlegged the Lollapalloza show. It really is not the best quality, but should I upload it anyways?

I like the Vacation show. It sounds like they're playing in a huge space like an airplane hangar, but they are just in a thrift store!

biggest regret of the past 3 years: not filming that show, but I went just wanted to see them, you can hear me screaming off and on from like 3:00 in or so, that was such a special show, especially Strange Lights, Moses literally almost died and passed out, have never seen stamina from a musician like that before, because he wasn't just playing the drums, but rather beating the FUCK out of them, I mean, fucking laying it OUT there Man, Josh was insane too, by far the best Strange Lights performance I've seen, and I've seen a lot of them. I was worn out, we all were, we all just kinda piled out into the street going HOLYFUCKMOTHERFUCKER not quite believing what we had just seen, the band amazed THEMSELVES at how incredible that was. Just one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Kinda shit make a motherfucker cry. Just beautiful.
