There's probably a thread already but I'm on a really shit internet connection and can't be fucked looking. So yeah let's talk about films either like the last film you saw or films you're looking forward to. Recently I've watched: The Idiots by Lars Von Trier. I was quite highly expecting this to be pretty pretentious but it wasn't at all (apart from maybe the gang bang) it was actually really fantastic and way more intelligent than just some people acting like retards. Early Works of Eric Rohmer both of which were pretty good the latter even more so but I am a pretty big sucker for late 50's/early 60's Paris New Wave stuff. There was a really good short sort of propaganda film in the special features too about like being a foreign student in Paris which was probably better than both the main films.

i saw where the wild things are the day after it came out. i thoroughly enjoyed it; my brother, who was with me, fell asleep.
i watched my neighbor totoro the other day. it was my favorite movie as a kid, and it still holds up very well.
the next movie i'm going to watch is probably eraserhead, but that'll have to wait until my dad decides he doesn't want to watch football/nascar one night.

less_cunning wrote: "i am curious yellow" I prefer Oranj I've not seen those films but I do have a similar taste. One of my favourite Italian films is 'Ladri di biciclette' and lots of the neorealist stuff cannot get Fellini though. I'm also a big fan of Louis Malle and other FNW directors as cliched an opinion as it is. They films just carry a lot of magic for me. A really amazing film I've seen recently (although it came out in 2003) is the Icelandic film Nói albínói check it out if you haven't.

Big fan of Von Trier, I've seen The Idiots, Dogville, Manderlay, Dancer in the Dark, Breaking the Waves.
Breaking the Waves is one of the most heartbreaking films I've ever seen.
Anyone seen Paranormal Activity? I'm a sucker for horror films, I really want to see it.

TRUE! i never saw Point Break. Grosse Point Blank is a better film than that: John John Cusack trumps Keanu Reeves everytime.
Na-Na Na-Na Boo Boo.
peace.
